So I finally burned to the bottom of my favourite Diptyque candle, these candles burn forever (which is a good thing)! You all know what happens to an empty Diptyque candle, it becomes a DIY storage jar for holding brushes, makeup, beauty tools and a million other things! I won't go into how I cleaned my empty candle holder as you can find posts on this everywhere, I used mine for holding some of my larger makeup brushes, I love this idea and looks so lovely on my dressing table.

This is a cool idea for re-using the the candle holders, I hate it when you get candles that burn funny so you still have loads of wax but the wick has completely gone. I saw a great solution to get the wax out and re-ue the candle. Suppose you could do that or this...
ReplyDeleteI know! Luckily the diptyque ones burn down properly!
DeleteI honestly was going to ask how you cleaned them out! I'm desperate to do this x
ReplyDeleteYou can either put it in freezer for few hours and scrape it, however that didn't work for me as I only had tiny bit of wax left, I filled mine with hot water and left for a while to melt and then poured into an old container and threw away, careful not to pour down sink! then just wash as normal xx
